The search engine Ask Jeeves is officially retiring the butler.
This is probably due to the company wanting to target people performing keyword searches as well as asking questions.
Without the reputation of a question answering butler they might get a reputation for providing relevant search results for anything people type into the box.
However, they will probably have to do more than retire the butler to shed their long held question-answering image.
Stating the Obvious: The other word in their name also produces the image of a question answering service, at least in my mind.
