We posted a new article that should appeal to those of you interested in ranking higher in search engine results.
"So you want to start a business, sell a product or have the next big dot Com idea, huh? Well, undoubtedly, you will need a domain. Wouldn't an expired domain name give you a head start? Think about it...the site attached to the domain already has a page rank and backlinks. Maybe the site is listed in Dmoz or several other directories and search engines. By purchasing an expired domain, you wouldn't have to worry about Google's age factor for new sites. It would likely save you a whole lot of time and money, right? Wrong. Like most things in life, nothing is that easy."

Google is getting sued for doing something every search engine must do if they care about improving the quality of their search results.
Instead of complaining about being dropped from Google's index like a good webmaster, KinderStart decided to sue Google.
Now if only a bunch of KinderStart's competitors joined the class action suit against Google regarding the same search query. KinderStart could fight allies in the suit for the top ranking in Google while they all fought Google for being dropped. Just wait, the judge will decide which websites are relevant for related search queries and order Google to adjust their rankings accordingly :-)

Interesting quote....
"I just checked my e-mail and I got a mail from Google this afternoon. Seems they are kinda ticked that I have an MSN Search box on my blogspot page and they are asking that I remove it. They say its a violation of their Terms of Service yet nowhere in their terms of service does it say its not permitted for me to do such. Looks like another thing to handle in the morning."

Would you like to give all of your digital data to Google to store online? What if you thought it would be more secure there then on your home/work computer? Well.... Google may be asking for it some time soon according to this story.
By the way, you are in much more control as to if your data is secure than Google could ever be. One slip on your part and your data security is compromised, even if it is on Google's servers.
If you have any interest in looking up data about websites such as how many emails they send out per month, the downloads they link to, the third party websites they promote and much more you should take a look at Site Advisor.

An update to the Department of Justice VS Google battle. It seems the DoJ is not okay with Google’s refusal to follow orders.
The DoJ points out that it doesn't want any personal information about Google’s users, just a random sample of search queries.
I am still trying to figure out why that makes it okay for the DoJ to take Google's private data. Just because it won't identify any of Google's users doesn’t mean it is fair game for the government.
