Here is a quote from the CNet story:
"On Monday, the company introduced a self-service system that lets online publishers pair advertising with their RSS feeds. Called BrightAds RSS (after the technology format known as Really Simple Syndication), the service takes advantage of Kanoodle's keyword advertising system to match Web content to relevant ads. Once a publisher signs up, an advertising link will piggyback on its syndicated feed sent to third-party news readers."

The Search Engine Journal has posted a list of search engine bloggers. It is quite a long list so I suggest you go check it out.
There is only one flaw... no Nathan Enns or search industry blog :-(
I suppose I should have released my blogs sooner.

You can now make suggestions to the XML and RSS search engine FeedPlex. It is the first of many steps I have planned to improve feed searching technology.
Suggesting a feed is completely free; you do not even need to enter your email address for the time being. Just go to this page and enter the URL of the feed you would like to see included.
It will actually help make my job easier if you are able to make numerous suggestions because I would like to release feed search technology with a reasonable collection of data. Not only does my web crawler FyberSpider have to catalog web pages, it has to dig up the feeds hidden on some of them as well.
Let me tell you, FyberSpider is having fun, and so am I :-)

If you own a website/blog or are interested in search engines you will want to check out these tools you may have missed at FyberSearch:
Real Time Add URL (Link)
Adding your URL in real time is a powerful free tool provided by FyberSearch. Using it will cause the web crawler FyberSpider to instantly visit and catalog the URL you entered. You should immediately begin seeing your URL show up in FyberSearch Web Search results.
View Like FyberSpider (Link)
Viewing a URL like FyberSpider is a great way to learn about search engines and your website. This free tool will show you how any URL looks to the web crawler FyberSpider.
Add URL / Suggest a URL (Link)
Suggesting a URL to FyberSearch means that the URLs you enter are saved with all other suggested URLs and periodically crawled and cataloged.
You can also access them all at once from the add URL page.
Enjoy!

FyberSearch has developed a new advertising system that allows anyone with a website to easily setup advertisements instantly, view their statistics in real-time and edit them on the spot.
Burien, WA -- February 03, 2005 - FyberSearch Advertising Solutions is now helping advertisers promote their websites and businesses by providing them with a powerful set of tools and an easy-to-use interface.
Everyone interested in promoting their business can easily go to http://ads.fybersearch.com and begin advertising their website instantly. There is a simple, free and instant account creation process that takes the user’s name, email address and password. After logging in, the user can instantly setup and edit their advertisement(s). The user can also monitor the progress of various advertisements using a real-time tracking system.
"The option to instantly edit any advertisements combined with a real-time tracking system is a powerful combination." Says Nathan Enns, Owner and Founder of FyberSearch. "If you see that your ads are not performing well you can easily make changes until their performance improves."
Other features include the option to customize the payment method. Each advertiser can select to pay per month or pay per click for each advertisement he/she sets up. There is also a click-fraud protection program installed into every account automatically.
Another benefit in choosing FyberSearch Advertising Solutions is that there is no bidding or ad management required. Advertisers do not have to worry about being out-bid by their competitor or waste time and money having to make sure their ad still appears in the spot desired. FyberSearch has decided to give everyone a fair chance at getting publicity by charging a reasonable flat rate for each advertisement. Home businesses are treated the same was as large corporations at FyberSearch.

I received an email recently that pointed out that searching for a prase in the FyberSearch Web Search program was not working.
In case anyone else was wondering why they were not able to search for a phrase I thought I would let you all know it is working again.
Just enclose your search query in quotes and it should work.
